Junior Open Water
Children as young as 10 can earn their diver certification and begin to explore the oceans to a depth of 40 feet. Divers 10 and 11 years old are required to dive with a parent or professional dive educator. At age 12 the depth increases and the child can now dive with any certified adult. At age 15 the certification automatically becomes an adult certification.
Our course is structured using clearly defined incremental goals that build confidence and teach life skills. We teach the same skills and knowledge that any certified diver must master (Initial certification details) but we introduce them in a manner easily grasped by young divers. We increase the amount of supervision provided during the course to ensure a safe and fun environment. This approach has led to unprecedented success in teaching the next generation of divers. Children are welcome in any of our regularly scheduled courses, however we have found that our FLEX courses work exceptionally well for younger students.

Colorful Bubblemaker emblems, decals, towels and toys along with a distinctive recognition certificate and card make the experience one to remember.
Minimum age: 8 years old
Participants must complete and sign the Bubblemaker Statement
before entering the water.
Parent or guardian signature is required
for participants younger than legal age.
If the participant checks any
condition on the medical questionnaire portion of the form, the participant
must receive medical approval prior to any in-water activities.
