  Local Diving - Dutch Springs
Dutch Springs is the best freshwater scuba training site in the country, and is less than two hours away. Dive Horizons leads training weekends to Dutch twice a month, April through November.

Dutch Springs offers several activities for non divers including a water park and boat rentals.

287 to Tapanzee Bridge straight on to Route 287/87, then bear right onto 287 South to Exit 21,
turn right to Route 78 West.

Y ou will see a sign for 78 East around the Morristown area (exit 38 ish) - IGNOR IT, you want
78 West exit 21.

Travel Route 78 West to exit 3. Join 22 West, through Easton and follow Route 22 West to
Route 191  North (Nazareth Turnpike).

Turn North on Rte. 191 approximately one mile. Turn left onto Hanoverville Road.
Dutch Springs is one mile on left.

  • Bring rain gear for wet surface intervals.
  • Certification Card if not in Open Water class
 

Other Tips

The line can be quite long in the morning. Plan on arriving early.
Have your waiver completed prior to arrival, due to the amount of people using the facility.

Dutch Springs staff are quite strict on parking. Move your car to the parking lot as soon as gear
is unloaded.

No diving activities between 5:00pm and sunset. Plan your day accordingly.
Night dives are from sunset to 1 hour after sunset.
