Papua New Guinea July 25 - August 4 liveaboard

We will be retuning to Papua New Guinea and the Febrina with it's entertaining captain
Alan Rabe in July 2006.

PNG offers some of the most beautiful diving in the world. We have set a unique itinerary for
our trip beginning in Rabul and ending at Walindi. We have space for ten divers to join Beth
and Nick on this exotic trip.

Our itinerary begins in the the Duke of York area where we will make a very special critter dive
right on the doorstep of Rabaul that promises to knock your socks off. We then move on to Bannings,
the Fathers Reef system for some great bomie (pinnacle) diving before ending in my favorite, Kimbe
Bay . These waters are home to prolific and diverse marine creatures and corals. Recent marine
surveys in Kimbe Bay have recorded over 350 species of reef building corals and over 900 species
of fish. The reefs are a photographer's paradise.

Pristine and colorful corals are home to a variety of fish, crustacean and invertebrate life.
Many of the reefs have resident schools of barracuda, tuna, and jacks. Visibility ranges from
80 to 150 feet, depending on the season and water temperatures range between 85 and 90
degrees Fahrenheit.

Although spectacular the diving in PNG is not generally challenging. Most diving is from
FeBrina's spacious dive deck, with easy access via the water level dive platform. We will do
between 3 and 5 dives daily.

The Febrina has 6 cabins. Three are double cabins with private facilities. The remaining 4 cabins
share two bathrooms. Two of these cabins are doubles and two are singles. Each c abin is fitted
with individual air-conditioning, vanity basins and porthole views. The food on board is excellent
and includes breakfast cooked to order, buffet lunch and gourmet dinner in addition to fresh
mid-morning and mid-afternoon snacks.

We will meet in Cairns Australia on July 23 and overnight. We fly the next morning to Port Moresby
and overnight. We fly the next morning to Rabul and board the Febrina. On Aug 4 we fly from Hoskins
(Walindi) to Port Moresby and connect through to Cairns where we will spend two nights.

This intenerary is based on Continental Airlines flights to the US because we have contract rates
with them. You have the option of traveling via Singapore but you will have to depart from the
